Now you must open the first of the ‘StrongName’ folders. However, if another ‘StrongName’ folder happens to appear within, then you should click on the ‘Back Arrow’ option to go up one level and delete that ‘StrongName’ folder.

NOTE: In case you do not see a folder containing ‘StrongName’, then you should back up and delete a different ‘StrongName’ folder.

You are now suppose to repeat this process with each ‘StrongName’ folder until all of the appropriate folders are delete.
When you have finished with the process, you just need to close this window.

Step4 – Remove the Registry data

NOTE: You should know that the following contains information on how to modify the registry. Hence, before you start modifying the registry, you must make sure that you back it up. Furthermore, you must understand clearly how to restore the registry if any problem occurs.

You will need to start by pressing the ‘Windows Key + R’ on your keyboard to open the ‘Run’ dialogue box.

Then you need to type ‘Regedit’ in the field provided and then click on OK to open the Windows Registry Editor.

After doing so, in the left-hand column, you have to expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER by giving a double click on it.

You must now find and double-click on the ‘Software’ folder to expand it.

Next, you should locate the folder called ‘Software MacKiev’, click on it, and then choose the ‘Delete’ button.

Furthermore, in the left-hand column, you should double-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to expand it.

After you have completed the previous registry cleaning processes you will need to open the ‘Registry Editor’ again and navigate straight to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Uninstall.

NOTE: If you are using 64-bit versions, then you would need to locate and expand Wow6432Node first. After this, you will go for Microsoft.

Now, when you have expanded the ‘Uninstall’ registry key, you should see a list of entries, each with a unique number that is enclose in brackets. One or more of these number entries contain the FTM data. You just need to highlight each entry one by one and then review the registry keys on the right side of the panel until you find the one with FTM just next to the ‘DisplayName’ section.

5. You must remove any checks that are next to ‘Web Proxy (HTTP), Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS), and SOCKS Proxy, and then you just need to click on OK.

NOTE: You can be at ease as other proxy settings should not affect FTM; however, it wouldn’t do any harm to uncheck any other protocols listed.

You now need to click on the ‘Apply’ button that is in the bottom right of the ‘Network’ settings window.

Transfer your FTM tree files from one computer to another computer

To successfully transfer your tree file from one computer to another, FTM 2019 must installed on both computers. You must have a removable storage device to move your file.

The easiest way to transfer a tree from one computer to another, however, is by using a USB flash drive.

If you do not have one, it may be worth your time to buy one before continuing with the steps below.

On the first computer:

Open FTM 2019 on the computer with your current FTM tree.
Manually do the full backup of your FTM tree.
Go to the location of the backup file you have created and copy the file to your flash drive.
Unplug your flash drive from the first computer.

On the second computer:

Copy the backup file to your computer’s hard disk before going ahead with the restoration process.
Open FTM 2019, click the File menu and choose Restore.
In the dialogue that appears, navigate to the location where you saved the backup file, select the file, and then click Open.
Select the location on your hard disk where you want your tree to be saved (FTM tree files are usually stored in the Family Tree Maker folder in your Documents folder).

Then click the Save button to restore your tree from the backup. The restored tree opens in Family Tree Maker.

Make sure you are logged in to TreeVault with the same account you used when creating the Antenna tree on the first computer.

If you are logged in to a different TreeVault account, click Cancel in the message that appears, prompting you to create an Antenna tree, log out of TreeVault, and then log back in with the TreeVault account you were using on the first computer.

Click on View > Tree Browser or click the Select Treepop-up menu on the far left of the main toolbar and then click Tree Browser. The Tree Browser Window appears.
In the Tree Browser window, select TreeVault on the left and then click Next in the bottom-right corner of the window.
Click the Find FTM Source Tree button.
Select your tree in the Results for FTM Source Treecolumn.
Make sure that the selected tree is the tree that you restored in step 5 (double-check the tree). Then click Use as Source Tree.
Your tree is linked to the Antenna tree and becomes the FTM Source tree. Only changes to this new Source tree on the second computer will be applied to your Antenna tree.

The FTM tree from which you made the backup on the first computer will no longer be linked to the Antenna tree.

If you close your restore tree after step 5 and perform steps 6–10 without an open tree. Then, the Source tree will open automatically.

You can click Open This FTM Tree in the Tree Browser window at any time to open your Source tree.

You enter the recipient’s email address or username. The invitation will be delivered via email.
If you get a shareable link, you will need to create a new invite link for each person you share your tree with.

Invite multiple people at once by clicking the green Add another email/user button.
In the Role menu, choose which role you want the person to have.

Guest:-

Guests can view and add comments to a family tree. Guests cannot automatically view living people.

Contributor:-

Contributors can view and add comments, photos, and stories to a family tree. They cannot remove content or edit existing tree content, and they cannot automatically view living people.

Editor:-

Editors can view and add people, records, comments, photos, and stories to a family tree. They can also remove and edit existing content. Editors can automatically view living people.

If you are sending an email, click the Include a private message field on the right to add a message. If you are sending a link, click Create link.
Email the invitation, and click Send Invites. If you are sending a link, click the Copy link.
If you are sending an email, the recipient will receive an email with the subject “Come see our family tree on Ancestry.”
Whether they click a button from the invitation email or click your link, if they have an Ancestry account and are logged in to it, the link in the invitation will take them to your tree.
If they are not logged in to an account, the link will take them to a free account creation page.
Once they accept your invitation, your tree will appear under the Trees menu in their account.

Family Tree Maker 2017 allows you to upload your tree file directly to Ancestry. It also links your local and online tree and keeps them synced.

Open the tree you want to upload to Ancestry.
Click the sync icon in the upper-right corner of the application window.

If your tree is public, Ancestry subscribers can view your entire tree (except for information about living individuals and private notes), and your tree will appear in search results on Ancestry and search engines such as Google.
When your tree is private, limited information about individuals in it (name, birth year, birthplace) will appear in Ancestry search results, but no one can view your entire tree unless you invite them to.
You can switch your online tree from public to private or private to public at any time on Ancestry.com.

The Exclude, this tree from Ancestry search index option, becomes available if you have selected the checkbox above it.
Select this option if you don’t want your tree to appear in search results on Ancestry or third-party search engines such as Google.

When you have finished setting the options, click Upload. Uploading will begin, and a progress bar in the upper-right corner shows the status of the upload.
A message tells you when the file has been uploaded and linked successfully. Select the View Online tree checkbox if you want to go to the Ancestry view of the tree at once. Click OK.

If necessary, change the tree file’s name in the New tree name field.
By default, your tree file will be save to a Family Tree Maker folder found in your Documents folder.
If you want to save the tree file to another folder, click New Tree Location.
Click Continue.

A list of the trees in the group you have selected appears in the middle column of the window. Use the Sort by and Show drop-down lists to narrow your search for a particular tree. The options available vary depending on the group of trees you selected in step 2. Select a tree in the list to view information about it in the right part of the Tree Browser window.

You can do one of the following:-

Click Open Tree to open the selected tree in Family Tree Maker.
Open File Location to open the folder where the selected tree file is in a file management window.
Delete Tree to remove the selected tree file from your computer.
To create a new tree from Tree Browser, click the New Tree button in the bottom-left corner of the window. Click the Browse button to try to find the tree you want manually.
