Search for the census records.
Right-click on the record and click “open link in new window”.

Note: You can still merge all census records from ancestry to family tree maker. You may not be able to view it in the browser, but when you merge it in your tree, you can view it in Family Tree Maker.

We do not know. We spoke to MacKiev on 15^th July 2022, and they will resolve it soon. You will get an email to update your Family tree maker as soon as they fix it. You will need to update the software, and it will fix the issue.

Transfer your FTM tree files from one computer to another computer

To successfully transfer your tree file from one computer to another, FTM 2019 must installed on both computers. You must have a removable storage device to move your file.

Alternatively, it can be transferred via a computer network or cloud storage.

The easiest way to transfer a tree from one computer to another, however, is by using a USB flash drive.

If you do not have one, it may be worth your time to buy one before continuing with the steps below.

On the first computer:

Open FTM 2019 on the computer with your current FTM tree.
Manually do the full backup of your FTM tree.
Go to the location of the backup file you have created and copy the file to your flash drive.
Unplug your flash drive from the first computer.

On the second computer:

Plug the flash drive into an available USB port on the computer. Which do you want to transfer your FTM Source tree?
Copy the backup file to your computer’s hard disk before going ahead with the restoration process.
Open FTM 2019, click the File menu and choose Restore.
In the dialogue that appears, navigate to the location where you saved the backup file, select the file, and then click Open.
Select the location on your hard disk where you want your tree to be saved (FTM tree files are usually stored in the Family Tree Maker folder in your Documents folder).

Then click the Save button to restore your tree from the backup. The restored tree opens in Family Tree Maker.

Make sure you are logged in to TreeVault with the same account you used when creating the Antenna tree on the first computer.

If you are logged in to a different TreeVault account, click Cancel in the message that appears, prompting you to create an Antenna tree, log out of TreeVault, and then log back in with the TreeVault account you were using on the first computer.

Click on View > Tree Browser or click the Select Treepop-up menu on the far left of the main toolbar and then click Tree Browser. The Tree Browser Window appears.
In the Tree Browser window, select TreeVault on the left and then click Next in the bottom-right corner of the window.
Click the Find FTM Source Tree button.
Select your tree in the Results for FTM Source Treecolumn.
Make sure that the selected tree is the tree that you restored in step 5 (double-check the tree). Then click Use as Source Tree.
Your tree is linked to the Antenna tree and becomes the FTM Source tree. Only changes to this new Source tree on the second computer will be applied to your Antenna tree.

The FTM tree from which you made the backup on the first computer will no longer be linked to the Antenna tree.

If you close your restore tree after step 5 and perform steps 6–10 without an open tree. Then, the Source tree will open automatically.

You can click Open This FTM Tree in the Tree Browser window at any time to open your Source tree.

It is a promising idea first to compact your tree files on Family Tree Maker and make a full backup along with the media files if you are going to update your copy of Family Tree Maker or make any other meaningful change like using a new synching technology like FamilySync® for the first time.

When you compact your tree, it removes spaces in the tree database and reduces the probability of errors when performing any action on it.

Compacting Your FTM File

Click on the Tools menu and then click on Compact File.
Click Compact in the window that appears on the screen.

Whether they click a button from the invitation email or click your link, if they have an Ancestry account and are logged in to it, the link in the invitation will take them to your tree.

When your tree is private, limited information about individuals in it (name, birth year, birthplace) will appear in Ancestry search results, but no one can view your entire tree unless you invite them to.
You can switch your online tree from public to private or private to public at any time on Ancestry.com.

The Exclude, this tree from Ancestry search index option, becomes available if you have selected the checkbox above it.
Select this option if you don’t want your tree to appear in search results on Ancestry or third-party search engines such as Google.

When you have finished setting the options, click Upload. Uploading will begin, and a progress bar in the upper-right corner shows the status of the upload.

For example, if you choose one generation of descendants, the immediate children of each ancestor will be include. Choosing two generations of descendants will include the children and grandchildren of each ancestor, and so on. If you want to include only ancestors in a direct ascending line from the home person, leave the choice unselected.
If necessary, change the tree file’s name in the New tree name field.
By default, your tree file will be save to a Family Tree Maker folder found in your Documents folder.
If you want to save the tree file to another folder, click New Tree Location.
Click Continue.

FamilySearch in FTM 2019 for Windows

Make sure you are logged in to FamilySearch in FTM 2019.
Click the Plan button on the main toolbar to open the Plan workspace.
On the New Tree tab, click Download a Tree from FamilySearch.

On the People workspace, select the person you want to match to FamilySearch.
You can do one of the following.
Firstly, Click the FamilySearch hint icon or hint link in the tree viewer or the editing panel.
Secondly, Right-click the person in the tree viewer, and then choose Match Person to FamilySearch.
The Web Search workspace opens with a list of search results.
Select a search result and look through the person’s data in the Search result detail area. If this is the individual you were looking for, click the Match button.
A message appears with information about the People with FamilySearch feature. If you do not want to see this message again, select the Do not show again checkbox. Click Match to FamilySearch.
The Web Search workspace changes to display the person on FamilySearch. Who you have matched with the person in your FTM tree, together with a link that allows you to view hints. Historical records for this person on FamilySearch (if there are any) and a list of possible alternate matches for the person in your FTM tree.
Note: You cannot merge FamilySearch historical records directly from Family Tree Maker. You can either review a record and attach it to a person using the FamilySearch website. Then, merge the data in Family Tree Maker or use the “Web Clipping” tool.
Go to the Tree tab on the People workspace and find the matched person there.
If there are hints of historical records for the matched person on FamilySearch, the centre of the hint turns dark blue.
Hold the pointer over the icon to see the ID of the matched person on FamilySearch, the number of hints found, the number of historical records that are available for the matched person on FamilySearch, and the number of other potential matches.

A list of the trees in the group you have selected appears in the middle column of the window. Use the Sort by and Show drop-down lists to narrow your search for a particular tree. Open File Location to open the folder where the selected tree file is in a file management window.
Delete Tree to remove the selected tree file from your computer.

Choosing generations of descendants will include the children and grandchildren of each ancestor.
If you want to include only ancestors in a direct ascending line from the home person, leave the choice unselected.
If necessary, change the tree file’s name in the New tree name field.
By default, your tree file will be save to a Family Tree Maker folder found in your Documents folder.
If you want to save the tree file to another folder, Click File Location.
