Follow the steps – Open family tree maker software, click on tools, and select compact files. Now, you can browse the file that you are using and want to compact. You should compact the file until you see 0%.
Family tree maker updates
Sometimes, your FTM software may work sluggish or give you trouble while you are using it. You should check for Family Tree Maker updates and update your software to improve its performance.
Follow these steps to update your software: Open the Family Tree Maker app and click on help. Once you click on help, you will see the option “check for updates.” Left-click on it and update your software.
