TreeVault Cloud service is not a traditional cloud storage system. It is different compared to DropBox, Google Drive, or iCloud. With this storage system, you can download your tree if your computer crashes or is lost. You do not lose any information when downloading the family tree from TreeVault.
TreeVault Cloud Services Features
Antenna Tree
When you upload a tree in TreeVault, it creates a source tree called the Antenna tree. With every change in your FTM, your source tree gets updated, so you keep all the information when you download a tree from the cloud. Please make sure to check that your antenna tree is up to date.
Emergency Tree Restores Service.
If you lose the device where your FTM19 was installed, you can use the Emergency Tree Restore Service to restore your entire tree. Log in to your Tree Vault account and restore your tree.
Note: If you have multiple trees, you should merge them, make one big tree file, and keep it as an Antenna Tree. This will ensure that you retain all the information.
FTM Connect App
It is a new app service that allows user to view their tree on smart devices. You can download this app from the App Store or Google Play Store and log in to your TreeVault account.
Note – You cannot add or edit information using this app. You can only view it.

Q: Does the TreeVault Antenna tree replace the Ancestry tree?
A: No, it does not. TreeVault Antenna Tree uploads the exact copy of your FTM 2019 tree, including the Change Log and web links. It helps restore the tree from the TreeVault Cloud Service or using the FTM Connect app on any handheld device, such as an iPhone or iPad.
However, with the FamilySync feature of FTM 2019, you can sync an Ancestry tree with an FTM tree on one or more computers. This can be useful for getting Ancestry hints within Family Tree Maker, keeping your research up to date online, and sharing with others easily. You can also use it with AncestryDNA.
A tree backed up on Ancestry can help to recover a lost or damaged tree, but it is not as complete as your TreeVault Antenna tree would be.
Q: Is TreeVault like Dropbox (a cloud storage service)?
A: No. A cloud storage service is as up-to-date as the last time you uploaded your files on it. But with TreeVault cloud service, your Antenna tree is up-to-the-minute. It updates in real-time as you amend your Family Tree Maker tree.
With TreeVault Storage Service, you can view your TreeVault Antenna tree on the free FTM Connect mobile app. The Antenna tree has the change log, which means you can not only restore your tree but also do the rollback to make corrections.

Q: Who else can access my Antenna tree?
A: You can access it only, except in case of any technical issue; we access it with your approval. You can connect to TreeVault and download an emergency copy of your Antenna tree.

A: It cannot be shared at present, but it may be in future updates. However, you can show your Antenna tree to others in person while using the FTM Connect app.
You can upload your tree to Ancestry and share it as an alternative. Ancestry is separate from TreeVault.
Q: Can I upload multiple trees on TreeVault?
